Sharing Courses and Access Levels
What Student, Importer, and Editor access mean when sharing a course.

Course sharing controls what someone can do after opening a share link. Choose the narrowest access level that fits the situation.
Student Access
Use Student access when sharing an assignment or course with learners. Students can complete assigned work, and submitted work appears in your gradebook. Students cannot see instructor-only answer criteria or share the course with others.
Importer Access
Use Importer access when another educator should receive a copy. Importers can create their own copy of the course, including instructor-provided content, then edit their copy. They cannot edit your original course.
Editor Access
Use Editor access only when someone should collaborate on the original course. Editors can edit the original course and can see the gradebook. This level is best for co-teachers or trusted course collaborators.
